Summarize THIS! I’m not Li-on! I really DO know how to write summaries!
2
WHY? Why is it important to be able to summarize? 1)It forces you to look closely at a reading passage, paying special attention to the most important parts. 2)It increases your understanding of a reading passage. 3)It helps you retain the information. Why do people park in a driveway? Why do you bless those who sneeze? Why do I have this big, fluffy mane? Why am I so full of questions? Why oh Why oh WHY???
3
HOW? How do you write a summary? Writing a summary can be difficult, but it’s important for you to do. One of the hardest parts of writing a summary is figuring out how to even begin! There are four steps to follow when writing a summary that will help you get started. It still may be a difficult thinking process, but these steps will give you a way to begin. How do you write a summary? I KNOW! I KNOW! I am full of PRIDE!

LIONS As carnivores, feeding entirely on the flesh of other mammals, lions have 30 teeth, including large piercing canines to grab and kill prey, scissor-like molars to slice into flesh, and small incisors to scrape meat from bones. Much of their hunting is done at night and in the very early dawn. When feeding on a large kill, a lion can eat almost 36 kg of meat in one feeding and then not need to eat for several days. On average, a lion needs to eat about 5 kg of meat daily.

I’m thinking about going blonde this spring… Anyway, tomorrow I’m getting my tail styled and Saturday I am having my whiskers curled. Perhaps I should have my claws painted too. Oh my, let me just get to the main idea : I am getting a complete makeover this week!

The passage was about lions and how they eat. The author told us about their various teeth and what the different teeth were used for. We also learned about when they look for food and how much they need to eat. Lions are carnivores equipped with the body and skills to hunt.
