1. Corticosteroids bind to glucocorticoid or mineralocorticoid receptors, the steroid-receptor complex then regulates gene transcription. 2. Example for anti-inflammatory properties: glucocorticoids increase lipocortin transcription lipocortin inhibits phospholipase A decreased arachadonic acid and eicosanoids B.
