Ecommerce Applications 2008/9 Session 514 Law of contract Offer legally binding if it is accepted Avoid making an offer –In e-shop good displayed a ‘invitation to treat’ NOT offer –Offer arises when person places an order –Contract made when business accepts the offer and communicates acceptance (NB confirmation email is binding) –Retailers terms and conditions must be in the contract click through ‘I Accept’ button.
