Charles Dickens is probably the most famous author in the English language. FAMOUS AUTHOR

HE wrote about the ordinary people and the difficult lives they had.HE wrote his stories in exciting chapters so people look forward to the next chapter. WHY IS HE FAMOUS

Charles Dickens was born in Portsmouth in February 1812. BIRTH

As a young boy he had to work in a factory which was cruel,had rats running around the floor,was cold,dark and miserable. WORKING

He only went to school for a short period as father was regularly in the Debtor’s prison. SCHOOL

As Charles could read and write he became a Journalist for a newspaper.Newspaperswe re becoming popular this time. JOURNALIST
