Then the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying, “Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?” Haggai 1:3-8

Now therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways! “You have sown much, and bring in little; You eat, but do not have enough; You drink, but you are not filled with drink; You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; And he who earns wages, Earns wages to put into a bag with holes.” Haggai 1:3-8

Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways! Go up to the mountains and bring wood and build the temple, that I may take pleasure in it and be glorified,” says the Lord. Haggai 1:3-8

Now it was in the heart of my father David to build a temple for the name of the Lord God of Israel. 1 Kings 8:17-18

Now it was in the heart of my father David to build a temple for the name of the Lord God of Israel. But the Lord said to my father David, ‘Whereas it was in your heart to build a temple for My name, you did well that it was in your heart. 1 Kings 8:17-18

Then King David rose to his feet and said, “Hear me, my brethren and my people: I had it in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and for the footstool of our God, and had made preparations to build it. 1 Chronicles 28:2-3

But God said to me, ‘You shall not build a house for My name 1 Chronicles 28:2-3

But God said to me, ‘You shall not build a house for My name, because you have been a man of war and have shed blood.’ 1 Chronicles 28:2-3

And David said to Solomon: “My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build a house to the name of the Lord my God; but the word of the Lord came to me, saying, ‘You have shed much blood and have made great wars; you shall not build a house for My name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in My sight 1 Chronicles 28:2-3

Wars? Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? James 4:1

Wars? WHAT LEADS to strife (discord and feuds) and how do conflicts (quarrels and fightings) originate among you? Do they not arise from your sensual desires that are ever warring in your bodily members? James 4:1 - Amplified

Blood? And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission. Hebrews 9:22

Blood? [In fact] under the Law almost everything is purified by means of blood, and without the shedding of blood there is neither release from sin and its guilt nor the remission of the due and merited punishment for sins. Hebrews 9:22- Amplified

All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:6

Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows … He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:4-5

For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ Philippians 3:20

For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body Philippians 3:20

For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself. Philippians 3:20

So also is the resurrection of the dead….There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 1 Corinthians 15:42-44

The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. 1 Corinthians 15:42-44

The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. 1 Corinthians 15:42-44

The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. 1 Corinthians 15:42-44

Now David said… the house to be built for the Lord must be exceedingly magnificent, famous and glorious throughout all countries. I will now make preparation for it.” So David made abundant preparations before his death. 1 Chronicles 22:5

Indeed I have taken much trouble to prepare for the house of the Lord one hundred thousand talents of gold and one million talents of silver, and bronze and iron beyond measure, for it is so abundant. I have prepared timber and stone also, and you may add to them. 1 Chronicles 22:14

Furthermore King David said to all the assembly… Now for the house of my God I have prepared with all my might: gold … silver…bronze … wood…onyx stones, stones to be set, glistening stones of various colors, all kinds of precious stones, and marble slabs in abundance. 1 Chronicles 29:1-2

Moreover, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, my own special treasure of gold and silver…. 1 Chronicles 29:3

These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. Hebrews 11:13-16

For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland. And truly if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return. But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Hebrews 11:13-16

Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them. Hebrews 11:13-16
