4.  Praying Mantis My home: I like warm climates and can be found on bushes, trees, and even houses. I like to be where places where I can find a meal. My food: I like to eat other insects. What I look like: Sometimes I am brown and sometimes I am green. I am only 2-3 inches long. Fun fact: I can see movement up to 60 feet away from me! Click here to go back to the main menu!

5.  Butterfly My home: I love warm climates because I am cold-blooded, but that does not mean you wouldn’t find me somewhere cold. I like to land in places I can find food. My food: I like to eat the leaves of off plants. What I look like: We range in size and we have two wings. Fun fact: I can not fly unless my body temperature is 86 degrees or more. 6.  Ladybug My home: I live all over and can be found in gardens, grass, fields, and forests. My food: While I am a larva, I only eat 25 aphids a day, but when I grow up I will eat up to 50 a day. What I look like: I am usually red, orange, or yellow, and I have black dots. I have black legs, and antennae, and a head. Fun fact: If I am threatened, I will play dead. 7.  Cricket My home: I like the warm weather. I am usually in fields of grass, under rocks, and/or under some other debris in the yard. My food: I like to eat plants and on occasion other insects. 8.  Ants My home: I live in an anthill which is in the ground, rotted log, or a tree. My food: I eat a lot ranging from insects to vegetation. I can’t eat whole food, so I use my jaws to squeeze out the juice. What I look like: I have two eyes, which are made up of a lot of smaller eyes. I also have six legs. 9.  Bee My home: I live in a small nest and this is where I spend most of my time. My food: I drink the nectar from flowers, and I supply it to feel to my younger bees. What I look like: I have four wings, a stinger, and I am usually yellow and black. Fun fact: If you are outside when I am around, just stand quietly. 10.  Dragonfly My home: I like to stay around water and wherever I placed my eggs. My food: As a larva, I eat small fish and tadpoles. As an adult I like to eat insects. What I look like: I range in size from about 1 to 5 inches and I can be almost any color. Fun fact: I need the warmth to fly, that is why when the sun sets you will not be able to find me.
