Usamos o grau do superlativo, quando
queremos destacar uma pessoa ou coisa em um
grupo de três ou mais.

3. Gloria is the youngest girl in this classroom.
Há algumas maneiras para formarmos o superlativo e são elas:
Quando o adjetivo tiver uma só sílaba, acrescentaremos the antes do adjetivo e o sufixo est no seu final
small - the smallest
bright - the brightest

2. Quando o adjetivo tiver três sílabas ou mais,
acrescentaremos the most antes dele:
beautiful - the most beautiful
intelligent - the most intelligent

9. 4. Adjetivos terminados em e, somente é necessário acrescentar o sufixo st para formar o superlativo de superioridade. nice – the nicest large – the largest Lucy is the nicest woman in our store.

5. Quando o adjetivo terminar em consoante,
vogal mais consoante (C+V+C), dobraremos a
última consoante e, depois, acrescentaremos
est.

O superlativo de inferioridade pode ser formado, colocando as palavras the least (o menos) antes do adjetivo.
