Food processing employs 200 000 Australians Processed food exports 2009-10 = $16 billion Global food production doubled in the past 40 years with only an 8% increase in land Global population to reach 7 billion by end of 2011 FAO predicts a potential “doubling of the demand for food, feed and fibre by 2050”

Who cares? - The consumer??? The retailer??? Suppliers??? Governments???? How can we work together to deliver cost effective and global best practice in supply chain integrity? How do Australian industry supply chains coordinate to address food chain integrity? What can government do to help? What key projects can be identified, developed, funded and delivered that meet industry and the consumer’s objectives?
