Department of Transport and Main Roads Formed in 2009 when Queensland Transport and Main Roads amalgamated Staff of 8,000 Budget 2012-2013 -Operating: $4.073 billion -Capital: $4.915 billion Responsible for -33,339 kilometres of state-controlled road network -6,792 kilometres of rail corridors -15 trading ports
