2. Introduction I am doing my project on global warming, to see why people think it has effected the earth today. This presentation will be mainly about the shapes of snowflakes. I hope you enjoy my presentation!

3. Geometry in snowflakes The shape of a snowflake is a very cool thing to learn about; turns out it is just a bunch of science and geometry. No two snowflakes are alike, a water droplet- 1/100 of a drop of rain- freezes and the other water droplets around it come to it to form a real snowflake of its unique shape and size. It’s just like people- none of us are alike. Then it simply falls. Do you ever wonder why a cloud is white when you’re told it is only water up there? The cloud is clear and clear objects don’t absorb much light, so it reflects the light, that’s why we don’t see it clear, we see it white.

4. Geometry in Snowflakes Why does it takes 100,000 water droplets to make one snowflake? The water droplets around the growing snowflake start to get smaller as the growing snowflake gets bigger; so basically, 100,000 water droplets slowly form together. A hexagon is the base of a snowflake. The shape changes and sometimes gets deformed. Only one in fifty snowflakes are deformed, so look closely the next time you see snow!

6. When light hits a snowflake just right, it looks like a rainbow, but you have to look close! DEFORMED!

8. Global Warming Many people think global warming is real, because we have sort of been brain washed into thinking it's real by the government and people around us. All you hear is that the earth is getting hotter, that doesn’t mean it is our fault. I think over a period of time, people thought we were polluting way too much. The earth is changing, and it always will be.

9. Global Warming Some people think we need to save the planet, but the question is, save it from what? Most Americans think its getting hotter- which it is- but for different reasons; what makes you think yours is right? I understand that people change their minds, but first they think it’s pollution, then the Sun, the animals, and what else the U.S has been brain washing us with. The earth is changing and it has been for over four billion years!!!
