Position Opening Page 1 Job Classification: Wash Plant Operator/Maintenance Opening Date: October 27, 2014 Location: 67 th Ave Closing Date: November 7, 2014 Wage: $15.30/hr+ doe Primary Job Function: Maintain an efficient, safe, stable clean environment in accordance with company policies and procedures, standard practices and safety regulations. Operate wash plant systems to clean material and convey to designated areas. Must be able to direct and delegate employees assigned to the wash plant. Essential Requirements: Wear all required safety equipment including but not limited to hardhats, safety glasses, safety harness, ear plugs, dust masks and gloves. Physically capable doing repetitious arm, hand and leg motion Stand or sit for considerable amounts of time Lift up to 80 pounds safely Must be able to work various schedules including overtime, holiday, call outs and weekends as needed Work in inclement weather when required or assigned Required and predictable attendance Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Three to five years experience in aggregates industry preferred Experience in the washing or crushing of materials preferred Willing to relocate with company equipment Able to multi-task and make decisions under pressure Possess steel toed shoes and hand tools per the Aggregate tool list Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly for documentation and customer relations Additional Desired Skills: Maintenance experience with screens, repairs, installation and basic welding. Knowledge of air, electrical and hand tools. Duties & Responsibilities: Know and follow all company safety procedures and policies with or without supervision Follow Company policies and procedures Operate equipment in a safe manner Complete Pre/Post Inspection sheet daily Start up and shut down equipment in proper sequence per safety instructions Observe operation of crushing equipment and flow of material through system Direct unloading of aggregate haulage trucks at the crusher Inspect equipment and check lube system as directed Start and stop sampling cutter as necessary Feed material into wash plant at proper rate for best quality assurance Direct crusher loader operator to mix and attend surge piles as required Maintain flow of material through washing and conveying systems Maintain, repair, rebuild and service the equipment under your supervision Assist other plant operators as deemed necessary by your supervisor Satisfactorily complete the training requirements to further their abilities in this position according to company policies Work harmoniously with co-workers and maintain a positive, professional and cooperative attitude toward all customers, truckers, vendors and co-workers
