2. Knoo-shee is a lovely Chinese maiden who lived with her wealthy father in a grand and ornate palace.

3. Knoo- shee fell in love with her father's secretary, Chang. But her parents were not happy about it and commanded her to marry a more wealthy and suitable man.

4. But she disobeyed his orders and ran off with her true love…But with her father very close behind them.

5. Knoo- Shee and Chang finally managed to escape on a Chinese boat sailing by. They landed on an island, where they took refuge in a little wooden house.

6. Whilst they were both sleeping her father and discarded suitor set fire to the little wooden house so the two lovers perished.

7. The next morning, from the ashes rose their spirits, in the forms of two doves. So the two doves with out- stretched wings flew off into the sky to the realms of eternal happiness.
