Matisse December 1869 – November 1954 French artist, known for his use of colour. He was a significant leader in modern art, responsible for developments in painting. He was a labeled initially as a Fauve (wild beast). His later work was more stencil based paper cut outs. Techniques: Unrealistic use of bright colour Tonal

Task 1: Create between 5 – 10 manipulated images where you have altered the - Colour / Tone - Shape / Line / Pattern -Texture using Image and Adjustments and Filters.

How does it link to the artwork you have looked at? I have adjusted… - Hue / Saturation, - various filters like pallet knife - Posterize to flatten the colours - Invert to make it flip the colours (negative / opposite) I am linking my work to Matisse by his use of colours and tone
