The Study of Sacred Scripture Reveals God to us – Old Testament God’s actions in the life of His people – New Testament God is fully revealed in Jesus Salvation history – God’s actions in the saving of his people Magisterium is charged with interpretation – The teaching office of the Church Pope and Bishops Infallibility – Teachings are proclaimed from the interpretation of Scripture Doctrines, dogmas

Liturgical Prayer Mass – Readings – Eucharistic prayer Liturgy of the Hours – Official public prayer of the Church, aka-Divine Office – Psalm and other scripture readings – Said throughout the entire day Sacraments – Taken from different events in scripture

The Lord’s Prayer Greeting – Our Father, who art in heaven Theological petitions – Hallowed be thy name – Thy kingdom come – Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven Personal petitions – Give us this day our daily bread and – Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us – Lead us not into temptation – Deliver us from evil Doxology (short prayer of praise) – For yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory Acclamation – Amen
