Scripture is Trustworthy and Useful 10.05.2014

Scripture is Trustworthy The people you respect and trust, trust the Bible (2 Timothy 3:14-15). The Scriptures are trustworthy because they are God-breathed (2 Timothy 3:16)

Scripture is Useful For Teaching (Matthew 22:37-38) – Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. For Rebuking (Genesis 4:7) – If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”

Scripture is Useful For Correcting (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) – 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. For Training in Righteousness (James 1:27) – Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Scripture is Useful For the Man and Woman of God (John 15:5) – I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. For Every Good Work
