1. Provision of basic services to the underserved returnees in Gogrial and Twic, Warrap State through interventions in the sectors of education, water, sanitation and HIV/AIDS FUNDED BY DFID (BASIC SERVICES FUND)

PROJECT and LOCATIONS GOGRIAL EAST COUNTY Construction of 2 schools and drilling of 20 boreholes GOGRIAL WEST COUNTY Drilling of 20 community boreholes and 1 institutional boreholes TWIC COUNTY Construction of 1 primary school and drilling of 2 boreholes in schools CROSS-CUTTING ACTIVITIES HIV/AIDS awareness, hygiene and sanitation

PROGRESS Meeting with government authorities both at GoSS level, State Level and County level done State level ministry allocated resources as follow: STATE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION (KWAJOK,WARRAP STATE) - One Primary school for Twic County - 2 Primary schools for Gogrial East County STATE MINISTRY OF PHYSICAL INFRASTRUCTURE - 1 boreholes for 1 institution within Kwajok Town - 7 Boreholes for the 7 primary schools which are under construction by AMA (including 3 funded by BSF) -20 boreholes for communities in Gogrial East County - 20 boreholes for communities in Gogrial West County

4. Progress COUNTY LEVEL ALLOCATION TWIC The County Commissioner, in consultation with the Director for Education allocation the school at Pan Nyok school, Pan Nyok payam GOGRIAL EAST: The County Executive Director and the Director of Education allocated one school at Mayom Chol, Toch North Payam. The second school will be determined in early 2010

5. Project progress 1.Drilling Team has moved to Tonj to start drilling there. Drilling will start on 15 th April 2009 2.Construction of the two schools (Pan Nyok and Mayom Chol) are scheduled to start by 22 nd April.
