The Soure The source is the start or the beginning of a river. The source of a river is usually found in the hills or mountains. A river can easily have more than one source.

Tributaries Tributary- The source of a river or stream is the original point from which the river flows.

Meanders Meander-a broad looping bend in a river usually in the middle or lower course. The meander continually chages shape as fast flowing current of water erodes the outside bank of the meander bend and deposititon occursb in the slack water of the inside of a bend.

The Mouth The mouth may be where the river meets the sea a lake or a larger waterway At Its mouth a river flows into another body of water. The mouth of the River Severn flows into the Bristol channel.
