An example is Credit Recovery, providing an opportunity for high school students to complete the requirements of a previously failed class.

© Tyler Technologies 2012 5 Tyler School Solutions | Kickoff and Knowledge Transfer Before/After School Care Programs Definition: School Age Community/Afterschool (SAC/A) programs are not a continuation of the school day, but extend and enrich the opportunities for experiential learning, social development, and recreation during non-school hours. Although the programs are called by a variety of names – Latchkey, Afterschool, Before School, Extended Day, SAC, 21st CCLC, School Age Child Care, Adventure Club, Prime Time, etc. –all should be reported in MOSIS If the programs receive special funding, they are reported following the guidelines established by those sections. SAC/A funded by the district must be included, and if they are tuition- based that should be indicated in the Comments area. Students should be reported if regularly scheduled. Otherwise the teacher’s caseload should be reported.

No pre-determined expectation as to what days the student participates.

If the district is paying tuition to MOVIP for a student to take the online courses, then the resident district reports the student and the MoVip courses. Delivery Method = S (electronic media) or V (Virtual)

© Tyler Technologies 2012 30 Tyler School Solutions | Kickoff and Knowledge Transfer Missouri Virtual Instructional Program (MOVIP) When the state pays tuition to MoVIP for a student to take online classes, the student must be withdrawn from the resident district. -Withdrawal Reason = T001 – Transfer to another public school, outside the district, in state -Transfer To: MoVIP district 401401 school 1050 (high school) or 4020 (elementary) as appropriate.

Course may be offered in grades 10, 11 and 12. Each student’s transcript must indicate that he/she earned a passing grade in course. Course may be counted as one ‐ half credit for practical arts or social studies – Practical Arts = Meets Personal Finance requirement + one-half required credit in practical arts (0.5 credit) – Social Studies = Meets Personal Finance requirement + one-half (0.5 credit) of the 3 units of required social studies Requirement may be satisfied with embedded credits Instructor must hold a valid Missouri teaching certificate and be most qualified person to teach the course
