The Wise & Foolish Builders Matthew 7:24-29 I. The Wise Builder (7:24-25). A. “Whosoever hears these sayings of mine” (24a). 1.God intends for people to listen to Jesus (Deut. 18:15-19; Acts 3:18-23; Matt. 17:1-6). 2.Jesus words provide life’s foundation (Matt. 16:26-27; 5:21- 44; 16:15-19; Mark 16:16; John 10:27-28).

The Wise & Foolish Builders Matthew 7:24-29 II. The Foolish Builder (7:26-27). A. Hears—does not do them (26a). 1.God isn’t impressed with our excuses (Luke 9:57-62). B. Built on sand (26b). 1.Why sand vs. rock? (2 Cor. 4:16-18). C. Rain, flood, wind—“it fell” (27).
