Psalms 51:10-12 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. Restoring The Joy of Your Salvation

Ephesians 4:17-19 So this I say, and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind, being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart; and they, having become callous, have given themselves over to sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness. (NASB) A Calloused Heart

1 Timothy 4:2 “by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron,” How is the heart hardened? not listening to the voice of God as He speaks from His word. ignoring the need to change. making excuses as to why you’re O.K. A Calloused Heart

Wrong Speech Lying Ephesians 4:26 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. Unwholesome talk Ephesians 4:29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Unrepented Sins

Wrong Speech Slander Ephesians 4:31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Cussing and foolish talk Ephesians 5:3-4 But among you there impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. Unrepented Sins

Wrong Thinking Anger Ephesians 4:26 “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, Psalm 4:4 Be angry [or stand in awe] and sin not; commune with your own hearts upon your beds and be silent (sorry for the things you say in your hearts). Wrong Thinking Stealing Ephesians 4:28 Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need. Unrepented Sins

Wrong Commitments Ephesians 5:5 For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Immorality Impurity Greed James 4:17 If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them. Unrepented Sins

Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Unforgiveness

Hebrews 6:12 We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. Laziness/Procrastination
