How much $ The only thing that matters is: TOTAL COST OF ATTENDANCE = (Tutition + Fees + Room & Board + Books + Supplies + Personal Expenses + Transportation) – (Athletic Scholarships + Academic Scholarships + Private Scholarships) The remaining money is what you, your parents/guardians, or loans have to cover each year. DON’T WORRY ABOUT HOW MUCH MONEY YOU GET FOR FOOTBALL! CONCENTRATE ON THE TOTAL COST OF ATTENDANCE!

17. Am I Being Recruited? Freshman/Sophomore Year Mail – Can only receive a camp brochure and questionnaire for NCAA institutions Athletic Dept. Phone Calls – No phone calls from coaches. Note: You can call them at your expense, but do not leave a message for them to return your call. (They cannot under NCAA rules) Visits – You can visit a school at your own expense (unofficial visit) except during prescribed DEAD periods which surround Christmas Holiday, the January AFCA Convention and National Signing Day in February.

18. Am I Being Recruited? Junior Year Mail – Beginning Sept. 1 st of the prospects junior year, he can receive mail on a daily basis. Phone Calls – Same as Freshman/Sophomore year, with the exception of the Spring Evaluation Period at the conclusion of the prospect’s junior year (April-May). Institutions can make one phone call during this period to each prospect. Visits – Same as Freshman/Sophomore years.

19. Am I Being Recruited? Senior Year Mail – No limits. Phone Calls – Beginning September 1 st, each university is allowed one phone call per calendar week (Sunday-Saturday) until the contact period starts in late November/December. Once the contact period begins, phone calls are unlimited. The only exception is during the prescribed DEAD periods, when only one call per week is allowed. Contact Period – Each institution can visit a prospect once per week for a total of six visits. Visits – Unofficial and Official visits can begin on the first day of classes of Senior year. An official visit is when the university pays for transportation, lodging and meals for the prospect and parents. Note: Each prospect is allowed 5 official visits
