3 Written by Charlotte Bronte There are theories that it was loosely based on her life. Charlotte Bronte had sisters that also were writers, her sister Emily Bronte wrote “Wuthering Heights” still popular. AUTHOR

4 Jane Eyre has elements of gothic literature. In the book Jane also reads books that are considered Gothic Gothic lit is dark, gloomy, dramatic and implements elements of superstition and big castles. GOTHIC LITERATURE

5 The book goes through her whole life Begins when she is an orphan living with her aunt my marriage. Goes all the way through to her adult life after being a governess. PLOT
