17. Are we all in it together? In 2002-2003, the average FIU faculty raise was 4.1% (2.5% plus 1.6% special merit). That year: The average raise of the academic deans was 8.5% The Provost’s raise was 12.2% The President’s raise was 41.1%

18. Other factors to consider Salary comparisons are as of 2003. When this year’s data is out FIU will fare worse because other Universities got reasonable increases this year. FIU raises do not go into effect at the start of the academic year. If that is taken into account we fare worse.
