74. Position badges and braids should be presented by your Scout troop at a troop meeting. Tell your Scoutmaster and Den Leader if you plan to work towards earning the Den Chief Service Award. Den Chief service award may be presented at a pack or troop meeting, a troop court of honor, or the Blue and Gold Banquet If you are not currently serving as a Den Chief, ask your Scoutmaster to talk to the Pack leadership about assigning you to a den.

75. Den Chief Challenge Meet with your den leaders to help plan your part in the den meeting programs. Wear your uniform to all den and pack meetings. Make Cub Scouting fun, using differentgames and ceremonies each week. Be an example. Find opportunities to tell your Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts, or Webelos Scouts about Boy Scouting activities. Realize the den leader is the one most responsible for the den because he or she is the adult leader. Encourage your Tiger Cubs to become Cub Scouts, your Cub Scouts to join the Webelos den, and your Webelos Scouts to become Boy Scouts. s

DEN CHIEF PLEDGE I promise to help the boys in my den to the best of my ability; to encourage, guide, and protect them in all den and pack activities, and to show them by my example what Boy Scouts of America stands for.
