2 OUR VISION The vision of Kalyani Government Engineering College is to produce high quality, globally competitive technical manpower and to become a centre of excellence in a few select areas of high end technologies. It also envisages to act as an incubation cell for entrepreneurship activities in the region in association with the industry houses of the locality and outside. Keeping pace with the global technological developments through continuing education programmes is its another cherished ambition.

3 OUR MISSION The mission of Kalyani Government Engineering College is to impart quality technical education to the students at the undergraduate and at the postgraduate levels of engineering with the aim to make them complete human beings possessing depth of knowledge not only in their own discipline but also in the kindred areas, which shall necessarily be accompanied by a wide mental horizon making them capable of shifting the grain from the chaff, the honesty from the chicanery, the truth from the untruth.

24 Weakness 1. Large vacancy in faculty position 2. Autonomy granted to the college could not be made effective due to lack of proper OPERATION MANUAL 3. No proper campus of the institute 4. Lack of adequate space for the institute.

26 Threats The institute is to attract good talent in competition with other government financed and self financed institutes. But poor infrastructure is dragging the institute behind.

27 The following problems needs immediate attention: 1. Filling of faculty and other posts of laboratories, administration and hostels. 2. Proper facility for research activities 3. Construction of campus for the institute. 4. Creation of post of faculty for M.Tech 5. Creation of post for library 6. Creation post of Hostel superintendent for hostels.
