2 ABOUT S-VYASA Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (S-VYASA) is a Yoga University declared deemed-to-be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 vide Notification Number F.9-45/2001-U.3 dated 8/5/2001 of the Government of India Dr H R Nagendra Visionary & Founder, S-VYASA Born on Jan 1, 1943, at present the Chancellor of S-VYASA Deemed University. He got PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from IISc. He was a Post Doctoral Research Associate at University of British Columbia, Canada & NASA. He shifted to Human Engineering, developed yoga and yoga therapy programs for the modern ailments along with a Deemed University named S-VYASA. SVYASA offers courses from Certificate to Doctoral programs in Yogic Sciences. It has nearly 232 research publications on yoga, more than 400 dissertations by students of various courses offered at the University. He has translated the vision of Swami Vivekananda to combine the best of the East with the best of the East by combining modern scientific research to examine the efficacy of yoga to solve the challenges of the modern era. Many National and International awards had in his credit.

Distance Education programs were approved by the Distance Education Council vide notification F No. 5878/DEC/2011 dated 31.05.2011 Notification

6 Objectives of DDE  The main objective would be to reach to masses and provide an opportunity of affordable higher education in Yoga.  DE cater to the needs of all the yoga enthusiasts who are unable to attend S-VYASA Yoga Courses at Prashanti Kutiram campus  To provides Yoga education at the door step at par with residential programs by a unique blended learning methodology using virtual class rooms, PCP’s, online support and thorugh IC’s across India.

11 Submit an application with recent office / site & amenities photographs of the Information center Applications scrutinized and short listed. Analysis by SVYASA officials. Report submission to finalize geographical location. If approved, confirm Authorized Information Center of DDE / S-VYASA Selection Procedure for IC

12  Minimum office area of 500 sq. ft.  Reception with adequate seating arrangement for students.  Dedicated coordinator / center in- charge.  Counseling room, counselor with PC  Computers with internet connection  Server with network security  Telephone, printer and UPS back up.  Classroom and examination hall.  Prominent location in a commercial complex. Information Center

13 Manpower Requirements  Experienced Coordinator and counselor.  Should have a good line of experience in distance education  Should have past marketing initiatives and prospective strategies.  Innovative ideas to promote enrollments.  Transparency in business transactions.  Target driven attitude.

14 Responsibilities of IC’s 1.Coordinator In-charge will be single point of contact. 2.Assist in solving student queries. 3.Counseling to all prospective students. 4.Target achievement of enrollments. 5.Assist in local promotion and student enrollment process. 6.Ensure display of promotional material in the office and around the city. 7.Conducting counseling meets and seminars in the city. 8.Follow up with students for fees collection. 9.Conducting PCP / Virtual classrooms and examinations. 10.Daily MIS & reporting to SVYASA - DDE officials.

15 Support to IC’s from DDE, S-VYASA 1.Training and orientation programs to Coordinators and counselors. 2.Support for marketing activities and supply of promotional material. 3.Website and online support 4.E-communication support 5.Support for conducting classrooms and examinations

16 Commercials for IC’s 1.Information Center to deposit Rs. 25000/- (Twenty Five thousand only ) towards interest free refundable security deposit. 2.Information Center to pay Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand only ) towards processing fee. 3.Total amount of Rs. 35,000/- (Thirty five thousand only ) to be paid upon selection as Information Center.

17 Marketing Strategy 1.Complete IC details will be displayed on www.svyasadde.com 2.Students can register for online admissions or contact IC’s for admissions/ counseling 3.To achieve the target number of admissions, IC’s should bear the expenses of local promotional activities. 4.Website support, internet promotions & advertisements, database marketing, social networking will be done by DDE, S-VYASA for admissions. 5.Participation in local education exhibitions, Conducting counseling meets in colleges and universities, and contacting industries & corporate for bulk admissions will be undertaken by the centers with the help of DDE, S-VYASA officials.

18 Standard Operating Procedure for IC’s DDE /S-VYASA will send prospectus to Information Center. Student purchasing prospectus / admission form from IC, counselor will counsel the students for taking admission to programs. Student will fill up the form with guidance from IC and submit it with registration charges and program fees. IC will send a weekly MIS in soft copy format, containing all student details like application no, name, contact details,email, along with the payment DD for all the prospectus sold and registration done for the week. DDE will process the IC expenses as per the allowed expenses chart and pay to IC at the end of every month as per the MIS. IC will follow up with the registered students for payment of program fees if any.
