1. Water Saving to reduce to load on Effluent Treatment plant Arvind Ltd, Knits Division

2. Need to Modification 1- Dye house require water of more than 60 Deg C for different process, If dye house gets this, the efficiency level will improve 2- In yarn dyeing section we do heating in open side tank to reduce the cycle time, if we get the hot water, steam will be saved.

3. Probable solution Dye house need hot water supply, Aml knits engineering team did study to find out the source hot water. Out of several hot water discharge from dye house, from where we can recover the heat, The water getting discharge from the heat exchanger is pure water, and hot as well.

4. Trial for the problem AML team made a big collection tank for the hot water coming from the heat exchanger, We measured the volume collected on daily basis, It came around 80 kilo liter, Which is around 10% of daily consumption. So AML started using this water back in dye house.

5. Out come of project 1- Saving the steam to heat up the water for dyeing process. 2- Reduction in the load of ETP, as now less water is going in ETP. Reduction in dyeing cycle time by 15 minutes out of 8.56 hrs.
