NCAA (national collegiate athletic association) basketball is played differently to the NBA (national basketball association). For example the shot clock is 24 seconds in the NBA and in the NCAA it is 35 seconds.

LLike the NBA there are conferences but inside the conferences are regions there are 5 of them they are Big EAST, Big Ten, Big 12, Southeast, Southwest. The ranking of the top 14 are 1 st Kansas Big 12, 2 nd Ohio state Big 10, 3 rd San Diego state southwest, 4 th Duke southeast, 5 th BYU Big 12, 6 th North Carolina southeast, 7 th Kentucky southeast, 8 th Florida southeast, 9 th Notre Dame Big east, 10 t Purdue h Pittsburgh Big east, 11 th Texas Big 12, 12 th Big Ten, 13 th George Town Big east, 14 th Connecticut (Uconn) Huskies Big east.

The NBA draft is for people that play basketball and that are eligible. To be eligible you have to be 19 years old to 22 years old. The NBA draft is an annual event and usually held in June in the off season. Teams can draft players around the world as long as they are eligible. To decide who goes 1st in the draft, the teams who did not make the play-offs that season compete in the lottery to decide who goes 1 st.

After a long season the Connecticut Huskies have won the NCAA basketball title, winning the title against the Butler Bulldogs in a 41 to 53 win.
