4 Introduction For now over a decade Tridium’s Niagara Framework has been connecting HVAC systems together independent of manufacturer or device protocol. As both an integration and development platform, NiagaraAX can create boundless opportunities. Today’s facilities, whether an office building, a retail store, a manufacturing facility, hospital, university or hotel, have more than just HVAC systems; they contain a diverse range of devices and equipment requiring integration and connectivity to the “building information network”. As an enabling technology, the Niagara Framework is ideally suited for getting any device or equipment integrated and connected to this network. In this session we will look at a case study that takes integration beyond HVAC to some unusual but equally important smart devices. We will talk about the value of connectivity and information from a new and innovative perspective.
