2012, End of the World. ► Although Dec 21, 2012 is the date of the end of the age in the Mayan calendar it does not mean anything spectacular is going to happen on that exact date. ► The Mayan elders say the calendar foretells Earth changes and changes in consciousness AND that they occur within a seven-year period of time around 2012. ► When does the seven year period start? The Hopis’ prophecy stated the major changes would start when a large blue star appears. ► On October 24, 2007 Comet Holmes shocked astronomers, with a spectacular eruption. In less than 24 hours, the 17th magnitude comet brightened by a factor of nearly a million, becoming a naked-eye object in the evening sky. By mid-November the expanding comet was the largest object in the solar system, even bigger than the Sun.

Is the world really going to end on December 21 2012? The short answer is most likely no. We as human beings have no possible way of knowing when and how our planet will end. However, we are smart enough and intuitive enough to know when sure and imminent danger is near, and we must be willing to recognize and react to signs of coming change.

What began in the winter solstice of 1999 and will reach its ultimate conclusion on December 21, 2012, a period of unrest and uncertainty in which we will become witnesses to a gathering storm of events that will slowly and systematically redefine our existence on this planet. These events will come in the form of both natural and manmade disasters as well as social, economic and religious upheavals, and will most definitely effect every living being on the planet.
