2. Summer Camp offers fun-filled summer programs for children ages. 2-6 yrs. Each week, campers jump into action, participating in exciting sports programs, exploring nature, becoming involved in performing and creative arts, playing a part in group activities, and attending special events. Our campers have the opportunity to expand their horizons during the summer, embarking on new adventures, and having fun! Our exceptional program and dedicated staff create an environment that forges lifelong friendships among our campers. We create a summer experience that is unforgettable! It all starts with our outstanding camp counselors. A camp is only as good as its staff, and we are extremely proud of ours. Talent, creativity, love of children, leadership and devotion make our camp counselors the heart and soul of the program. We take our camp programs seriously and begin our summer with intensive staff training and orientation. Camp Zone® counselors and specialists are doing exactly what they enjoy most: spending a summer inspiring campers to explore, reach for new heights, and expand their horizons. Camp Zone®. 3. Developing Character through exciting weekly themes Summer 2014 Join us for a party! At Montessori Corner, our campers are introduced to the Masters, including Artists, Performing Arts, Composers and Literature through hands on exploration and project-based learning. Throughout the summer your camper will participate in various activities, special events, projects, and our qualified and knowledgeable staff will coach your camper on a fantastic summer-long experience in creative expression! Week 1 Slumber Party The Masters: Mother Goose Tales, Mozart, Degas, Van Gogh Students will celebrate the art of slumber through additional fun including pajama day, movie and a popcorn, and bedtime themed arts and slumber party games. Summer Camp Weekly Themes Week 7 Tea Party The Masters: Shel Silverstein, Chardin, Matisse, Boston Pops Royalty never had it so good! Tea parties, finger sandwiches, and grace and courtesy are just the tips of the iceberg! Week 4 Painting Party The Masters: Jan Brett, Jackson Pollock We are letting our creativity show and paint is the name of the game. Pendulum painting, painting with kitchen gadgets and so much more! It’s bound to be messy, but fun! Week 3 4 th of July Party The Masters: Dr. Seuss, Piet Mondrian, Francis Scott Key We celebrate the 4 th of July with red, white and blue inspired snacks, music, art and games. It’s sure to be a firecracker! Week 2 Rock Party The Masters: From Singing To Reading,Andy Warhol’s Pop Art Students will rock on as they are introduced to the music of the 50’s, hula hoop games and rock and roll themed activities. Week 5 Beach Party The Masters: Rainbow Fish, One Tiny Turtle, Renior, Broadway Hawaiian Day, luau’s, beach ball games, and yummy beach inspired snacks…what’s not to love? Week 6 Sports Party The Masters: Laura Numeroff, Beethoven, Debbie Sampson Wear your favorite team jersey and participate in our own version of the Olympics. Everyone gets the gold at Montessori Corner! Week 8 Barn Raising Party The Masters: It Takes A Village; The Great Kapok Tree, Gershwin, Frank Lloyd Wright, Da Vinci Focusing on the art of construction, campers will engage in challenges that will foster a love of creativity! Week 9 Ice Cream Party The Masters: Aesop’s Fables, Dali, Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! Week 10 Back To School Party The Masters: Charlotte’s Web, Picasso, Ragtime Time to celebrate the end of another great summer and the beginning of a spectacular school year!
