4 HQ AFSPC/XORS National Launch Forecast What is the NLF? The NLF is a programming tool Assists in predicting launch vehicle procurement requirements Aids in predicting launch range/base throughput Needed to properly scope range and base support contracts

5 HQ AFSPC/XORS National Launch Forecast (NLF) Compilation The NLF begins with a data call to the following agencies to forecast future launches (4-11 years): Department of Defense missions HQ Air Force Space Command interfaces with appropriate operational and acquisition agencies (SMC, DARPA, NRO, etc.) National Aeronautics & Space Agency (NASA) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for commercial ventures launching from USAF Eastern or Western ranges
