Animals like the Desert Toad, sleep much longer than a day. They bury themselves in a cool burrow and sleep right through the hottest part of the summer. http://www.google.com.qa/imgres?um=1&hl=en&sa=N&tbo=d&biw=1280&bih=658&authuser=0&tbm=isch&tbnid=8tqXgyj3VL4Y EM:&imgrefurl=http://www.erowid.org/archive/sonoran_desert_toad/smoke.htm&docid=Rdr_tYQY6UzWOM&imgurl=http://w ww.erowid.org/archive/sonoran_desert_toad/images/Balvarius3.jpg&w=500&h=339&ei=yR7xULukGY_Gswas5oCgDA&zoom=1&i act=rc&dur=2&sig=106677020763537968054&page=1&tbnh=138&tbnw=207&start=0&ndsp=25&ved=1t:429,r:10,s:0,i:109&tx=156&ty= 84 http://www.google.com.qa/imgres?um=1&hl=en&sa=N&tbo=d&biw=1280&bih=658&authuser=0&tbm=isch&tbnid=8tqXgyj3VL4Y EM:&imgrefurl=http://www.erowid.org/archive/sonoran_desert_toad/smoke.htm&docid=Rdr_tYQY6UzWOM&imgurl=http://w ww.erowid.org/archive/sonoran_desert_toad/images/Balvarius3.jpg&w=500&h=339&ei=yR7xULukGY_Gswas5oCgDA&zoom=1&i act=rc&dur=2&sig=106677020763537968054&page=1&tbnh=138&tbnw=207&start=0&ndsp=25&ved=1t:429,r:10,s:0,i:109&tx=156&ty= 84 The Desert Toad

The Important Abiotic Factors That Affect Animals and Plants. Few animals and plants are adapted to the tremendously dry desert life, but still the desert is a vital biome. It covers about a fifth of the earth's surface, which is why it is important. There are both hot and cold deserts. Antarctica is the largest desert in the world, while the Sahara in Africa is the largest of the hot deserts.
13
Off roading, many people drive their vehicles in unrestricted areas all over the desert. This will leave scars on the land for decades. Camping in the desert in unrestricted areas pollute the desert. Hunting is another human activity that’s needs to stop because it will kill lots of animals. People do these activities for fun and to waste time and they do not know how the desert is fragile and would take decades to revive again because of lack of water. Human Activates that Affect the Desert.
14
Education and awareness of the importance of the environment protection measures of the public. E.g. at school, media. Provide protected areas for people to have fun while not harming the environment. The government should abandon the hunting of animals. What Can Be Done to Prevent The bad Human Activities
