2. A long time ago in Ancient Egypt there lived a young camel and its mother. One day some thieves stole the young camel. They were going to sell it!

3. The thieves tried and tried but they never sold the camel. The thieves decided to chop off the camel’s head! The thieves tied the camel to a cactus and went to get a mattock. The camel heard everything the thieves said and the camel started crying. He didn’t want to die and he was very thirsty, even though camels can live without water for a long time.

4. All of a sudden, a scarab beetle appeared.

5. The beetle said that he would burn the rope with its laser eyes. So, the beetle burned the rope. The camel was surprised and it said he would pay the beetle back some day. The beetle was magic because whenever its eyes touch anything the object disappears. When the camel was free, the camel ran back to its mother. They lived happily ever after, including the beetle.
