7 Conclusion: All metals conduct Non-metals do not conduct (except carbon in the form of graphite)

8 Metals Found on the LHS of the Periodic Table. Metals conduct when they are solid or liquid.

9 Metallic bonding Exists between metal elements only. Metals conduct due to the ‘sea of delocalised electrons’ which move around the outside of the atoms and so carry the current.
