Geography- The study of the Earth’s plants, animals, people, and how they live. Location-Southern Africa, east of Mozambique Climate-Tropical climate, arid in south Landforms-Mozambique channel Fourth largest island.

Economics The study of how people manage resources by producing, exchanging, and using goods and services. Agriculture (coffee, vanilla, sugarcane) Industries (sugar, glassware, tourism) Imports (food, petroleum (oil & gas) Exports (sugar, coffee, vanilla)

Government A group of people who makes decisions for the country or state Type of Govt: Republic Independence: 7/26/1960 (from France) Legal system blah blah… Red stands for sovereignty, green for hope, white for purity.

Culture The way society behaves Indigenous beliefs, Christianity, Muslim Three- Malayo-Indonesian, French, Creole, Comoran Languages- French, Malagasy, English Life expectancy: 65 years Diseases: Malaria, rabies
