HOME BASED CARERS (Childminders) Implementing Birth to Three Matters Frame Work

Earlham Early Years Centre Importance of the Home based carer’s linking in with the centre. Means more opportunities for practitioners. Money in the centre to support the needs of babies and children under 3. Money in training programmes enabling time for the practitioners to attend, suitable to them.

Developments of the Home based Care network Recognition and acceptance of young babies. Need for Social and Cognitive development. Supporting links, Health visitors, SENCO.

Developments, Network co-ordinator now supports 10 registered Childminders, Meeting 1 st Wednesday of the month at Earlham Early years centre. Focus based meeting implementing Birth to Three Frame work, Room suitable to babies and under 3’s, High Quality of Care through out the children’s centre.

Supporting families Network co-ordinator’s links in with parents from Centre, to support each individual needs. 2 children from same family: if the 2 year old attends centre, the under 1 is placed with Home based carer the carer can then bring the baby along to Centre to join in with other groups Such as: Music sessions, stay and play,

Out Reach Key workers Network co-ordinator, make links with other professionals in the centre, Health visitors, Area Senco's Toy library’s Training
