CHOOSE A THEME 1. Introduce geometric and organic shapes. 2. Demonstrate cutting free form shapes 3. Introduce primary, secondary, and complementary colors (P=red, yellow, blue; S=green, orange, violet; C=red and green, blue and orange, yellow and violet) 4. When gluing emphasize less is better 5. Emphasize filling the page with shapes rather than grouping them. (Younger tend to group shapes) 6. Encourage running shapes off the page 7. Trade shapes or look for scrapes that will work
