HSL: How it Works H ue (outer circle) Determines the basic colour e.g. reds can have an orange or magenta hue S aturation (horizontal axis) The amount of grey in a colour, determines how vivid it is L uminosity (vertical axis) How light or dark the colour appears

Colour Referencing Simple to interpret alpha numeric references Each reference component has a meaning The letter (Alpha component) denotes base colour (R = Red) The numbers determine Hue, Saturation and Luminosity
