AIM: How do single-celled organisms perform the same life functions that complex multicellular organisms do? How is a “single cell” able to sustain LIFE?

Complex multicellular organisms, such as humans, have levels of organization inside of their bodies.
We have organs and organ systems that allow us to function as living things.

A SINGLE CELL is able to do all of the things that multicellular organisms do, just on a more simple level. Just like a human, single cells are very organized in their structure.

Humans have have different structures called organs that perform all life functions.
Cells have small structures called organelles which perform similar life functions.
