6 Hand Washing -The correct way
First get your hands wet Put the soap in your palms Scrub together away from water to work up a lather Do your fingernails, backs of your hands, around fingers, and all the way up to your wrists Do this for at LEAST 15 seconds, longer if you can Dry hands on a paper towel Megan

10 Teeth-Care Brush your teeth with toothpaste after every meal. Also brush at least twice a day. Bedtime is a very important time to brush!! Brush up and down in a circular motion, don’t forget your tongue. Bush your gums to keep them healthy too. Make sure to floss between your teeth also to get rid of plaque. Limit your sweets and sugary drinks. See your dentist twice a year for regular checkups. Practice this and hopefully you will hear those fabulous words we all want to hear…”No Cavities!!” Megan

15 Final Assessment As a final assessment over the whole unit we are going to have the students get into groups of about 4 and have them create a newsletter covering Why hygiene is important/bacteria Hand washing Teeth care And hair care/lice When they are finished each newsletter will be sent home so the students can show their families what they learned and hopefully ways to practice better hygiene at home Megan
