HSPS 2013 Chili Cook Off 3 rd Annual Hoosier Sail & Power Squadron Chili Cook Off The 3 rd Annual Hoosier Sail & Power Squadron Chili Cook Off event was held at the Indianapolis Sailing Club on Geist Lake. Categories included Meat, Hot & Spicy, and Vegetarian. There was a special category for children as well.

4. HSPS 2013 Chili Cook Off Participants and guests mingled while score sheets were distributed at the tables.

5. HSPS 2013 Chili Cook Off While discussions of this and future events continued, desserts, breads, and salads were laid out in the galley area.

6. HSPS 2013 Chili Cook Off The chili pots, 10 in all, simmered in preparation for the judging to begin.

7. HSPS 2013 Chili Cook Off Finally it was time to begin. Each person took a small sampling of the numbered chili pots and ranked them according to their personal favorites.

8. HSPS 2013 Chili Cook Off There was no shortage of good eating. Once all score sheets were turned in, the results were tallied by the Accounting Firm of Weigand & Duncan. (Thanks, Ray & Jim!)

9. HSPS 2013 Chili Cook Off Commander Barb Weigand and Event Coordinator Nancy Beall announced the winners: Holly Settles – Best Vegetarian Chili Bob Beall – Best Hot & Spicy Chili (3-time champion in this category) Kay Davis – Best Meat Chili
