SIGNODE RECYCLING HISTORY Signode has been a consumer of recycled material since the 1980’s. In 1992 ITW acquired Plastic Recycling Alliance (Joint venture between Dupont and Waste Management) Relocated PRA to the Kentucky facility in 1997 adjacent to Signode strapping plant

MORE FUN FACTS Recycling a ton of PET containers saves 7.4 cubic yards of landfill space According to the EPA, recycling a pound of PET saves approximately 12000 BTU’s The average household generates 42 pounds of PET plastic bottles a year It takes 19 bottles to make an x-large t-shirt Source: Napcor
