25 Factors influencing effectiveness of indirect retainer:
1-Distence from the fulcrum line, 2-Effectiveness of tooth support. 3-Effectiveness of direct retainers. 4-Regidity of the connector supporting the indirect retainer. 5- Indirect retainer must be rigid.

26 Resistance: means resistance to antero-posterior movement.
In the mandible It come from… Posterior slope of retromolar area. Mesialy placed occlusal rest. Embrassure hook. In Maxilla: 1-Posterior placed occlusal rests. 2 – Anterior slop of the palate
