Theme : Standards level the playing field Message : SMEs that use international standards will find it easier to get their products certified and are better able to compete and sell any where in the world. What is standardization?
The process of formulating and applying rules for an orderly approach to a specific activity for the benefit and with the co-operation of all concerned and in particular for the promotion of optimum overall economy, taking due account of functional conditions and safety requirements. An important benefit of standardization is improvement of the suitability of goods and services for their intended purpose. Standardization facilitates the exchange of goods.
