The precautions you need to look at before you do any lifting include: Propping should be as per engineer’s specifications and located in identical position to each floor and should ultimately bear on the ground. Structural strength of slab, taking into account the mass of the crane with the load. For example: Crane + load = 20 tonnes Slab strength = 25 tonnes (continued next slide)
