35. Density of Population : 2001-2011 INDIA Delhi (11,320) turns out to be the most densely inhabited followed by Chandigarh (9,258), among all States/UTs, both in 2001 and 2011 Census. The minimum population density works out in Arunachal Pradesh (17) for both 2001 and 2011 Census. MADHYA PRADESH Bhopal (855) turns out to be the most densely populated district followed by Indore (841), among all districts in 2011 Census. 36.  The density of a few countries is presented in the statement to understand the trend prevailing in various parts of the world.  The density of India is two and half times more as compared to China, the most populated country.
