3. A thesis statement declares what you believe and what you intend to prove. A good thesis statement makes the difference between a thoughtful research project and a simple retelling of facts. The thesis statement is typically located at the end of your opening paragraph, back it up with two-three arguments. Remember, your reader will be looking for your thesis. Make it clear, strong, and easy to find.

4. From what I know about Edgar Allen Poe he was a very great writer who wrote some very interesting pieces of literature. So you may ask yourself, how could he have possibly been a poor person? From reading these documents I believe that Edgar Allen Poe was a poor person. According to the documents he wrote many of his friends and family for money and loans.
