4 I would call these “fields for established experts” – established scholars in a field who know exactly where they want to submit, they just need to refresh their memory about some details of the process or similar: The “OMG-I-know-NOTHING- throw-in-some-keywords-and- hope” field Fields for “emerging experts” – grad students looking to publish for the first or second time. Their advisor hasn’t told them where to submit so they are trying to figure it out on their own. + Some limits: Likely choices: Peer-reviewed, book reviews or short notes if that’s what you’ve written; no charge is always nice!
