3 Our dilemma If learning is the process of turning information into knowledge, in order to take effective action, then we need to be strategic about our use of information.

6 Role of Information Professionals in Supporting Teaching and Learning
Identify course content – identify data sets and resources for course content, supplementary readings, and teaching preparation (e.g., readings lists, annotated bibliographies) Develop activities, assignments, collaboration spaces - identify ways to integrate the use of data sets and information resources to meet learning objectives based on critical thinking, problem-solving/decision making, analysis, synthesis, critical reflection skills development (e.g., class activities, projects, papers, field study engagements) Create information products - package resources in custom information products to support assignment/learning objectives (e.g., information portals, knowledge centers, research guides, wikis, etc.) Provide information research skill development - delivery customized class, small group, and/or individual student instruction (e.g., presentations, small group/individual consultation, self-help tools) Provide teaching support – using the world of business information, support faculty teaching preparation throughout a course (e.g., case/company/industry updates, exhibit or course content updates, fact-checking, literature search, teaching or technical co-authoring).

The faculty unit overviews and EC course lists are gathered from the HBS website and source information is included to encourage further exploration of the faculty unit, including recent publications and more in-depth information about the EC courses. RC Course Overview: course descriptions, developed by the teaching group, that were made available to students. RC Case List: the modules, cases and case descriptions for each day. Resource Guide: additional references and sources of information about the RC courses prepared by Knowledge and Library Services.
